My Coding Journey & Thoughts

Back to Main Page
Progress on daVinJour
The product which i envisioned in my head does not match the prototype i've created. The prototype is smooth and fucntional but it does not excite me anynmore
I feel like working solo on it would lead me nowhere, hence working on it right now is a mere waste of time.
Progress on daVinJour
[Continuation of my previous journal entry]
I have been working on the daVinJour project, and I am making good progress. The platform is shaping up to be a flexible and user-friendly journal system that adapts to the user's needs.
I have implemented a few of the many features which I plan to incorporate in this project of mine
Now you can store your entries in the so called 'cabinets' or just have them lying around like I prefer to do on the canvas. There is alot of work yet to be done and I don't think I can go solo any further, would love to have someone to help me out with this project of mine. The text editing framework needs alot of improvements.

Journal Project

I would consider myself a huge note-taker, and I find Notion extremely rigid and overly-complicated.
Notion’s structured databases and templates, though powerful, feel restrictive. For instance ~ Leonardo da Vinci, jotted grocery lists alongside anatomy sketches on the same page. Meanwhile, methodical thinkers like Isaac Newton would thrive in its organized framework.
An ideal journal should bend to the journaler's personality- but I don't think that anything like that exists on the web.
My goal is to create a platform that bends to the user’s personality—offering a freeform canvas for chaotic creativity and structured templates for disciplined organization.

Simulation Of RNA World

Was intrigued by the RNA world, wanted to simulate it in somehow. This is the best I could do.
Check the simulation out by clicking here
Read my article on the code behind the simulation with its biological meaning by clicking here
For best results, use a computer unless you dont wanna fry your phone.

Greetings Dazai

Kudos to the person who ain't know that you can use Vercel to host your self coded code (full of blood, sweat and tears), and the only thing Vercel does for you is handle requests and all the hosting nuisances, in exchange for the ".vercel.app" as a part of your domain.
I guess this site induced some "self-introspection" into your demeanour.
Happy Googling :)

This Will Not Suffice

A King may move a man, a father may claim a son, but remember that even when those who move you be Kings, or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone.

When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus." Or that, "Virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.”

- King Baldwin IV, Jerusalem

Know your place in this world, do not push into a territory which ain't yet yours.

Failed miserably last month, but I know my place in the heirarchy. I am untouched by the false euphorbia which is a product of the thought that one is important in this world. Most of the people are nothing.

Tesseracts Are Beautiful

Lately, I've been researching about perspective transformations and projections, and also the mathematics behind them.

Last night I simulated a Tesseract using pygame (a python library) and also wrote a medium article on the mathematics and code behind the animation. It was an interesting project.

Check out the code on GitHub, also read my article on the maths and code behind this cool simulation.

My simulation project on the 'Lotka–Volterra Predation Prey Model'

Was reading about ecological models with mathematics in them, came across the prey-predation model.

As soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to build something based on this. Initially I had also decided to include a simulation grid (say 256x256) in which red pixels would denote predators and blue pixels would denote the prey. I couldn't get my head around how to implement it in python, so I discarded it. For now.

Try it now. Click here

"Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight"

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

-Dylan Thomas [Do not go gentle into that good night]

Came back home today, was just going through the stuff I accumulated in the past, longed for those times.

My Article On Norms And Normalizations In TensorFlow And Image Classification

I was researching image classification models using TensorFlow in Python, and to my surprise, I found there wasn't much detailed information available about the mathematics behind normalizing datasets. This lack of resources left me feeling a bit disturbed, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and write my own article on the topic😅

Have a look at it by clicking here

Mentioned below is a sneak peek into the article

Speech To Text Using OpenAI's Whisper API

BullscribeAI

Last month I was experimenting with OpenAI's Whisper which is a speech to text API. I was thinking of making a platform where you could feed audio files say from a boring meeting your boss forced you to attend (though you werent paying any attention) and transcribe it into text. The text would be converted into lucid and concise bullet points by an LLM.

Thus the name BullscribeAI (Bull for bullet points and Scribe for trasncribe)

I built an MVP with a cool UI, but my LLM was limited to llama3.2:1b running locally on my device

Forge The Übermensch

I read Nietzsche's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and it had a deep impact on my life. Nietzsche wanted us to be an Übermensch, a person who transcends human values and strives to be better every single day. Nietzsche was deeply disturbed by the epicurean and hedonistic elements of the modern times and that probably inspired him to paint the ideal portrait of a human being, and the potential of a human being.

"Man is a rope, tied between beast and overman — a rope over an abyss." - Zarathustra [Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche]

It inspired me to build this vague project called Forge The Übermensch
